With a reduced length and weight, the system is easier to deploy and operate than traditional configurations, helping crews work more efficiently without sacrificing performance.
At its core is Bench Tree’s advanced 3D-I solution, providing accurate directional measurements while addressing the reliability and accuracy challenges often associated with longer legacy systems. The Short MWD system also enhances data transmission through high-speed mud pulse telemetry, reducing reliance on costly EM or dual-telemetry systems that can be limited by depth and operating conditions.
Reliability is further improved through a streamlined, integrated design. The 3D-I, m+ pulser, and gamma sensor are housed within a single standard directional module pressure housing, eliminating many of the common failure points found in traditional systems. With up to 95% fewer field-mated connectors and significantly reduced wiring, the system minimizes maintenance requirements and supports more consistent performance in demanding environments.
