Bench Tree’s next-generation BTR-Touch™ MWD-LWD surface system is engineered to simplify surface operations while enhancing decoding performance across mud-pulse MWD/LWD geosteering applications. Designed as a fully integrated solution, the system eliminates the need for a separate PC by combining built-in decoding hardware, interface software, and a 12-in. touchscreen into a single, rugged platform, reducing complexity while improving reliability in the field.

By enabling secure wireless communication between the rig floor and safe area, BTR-Touch removes the need for lengthy yard cables, minimizing setup time, reducing HSE exposure, and eliminating common communication noise failures. The system increases operational flexibility across rig configurations while reliably decoding shortened pulse widths to improve data rates, delivering more consistent, high-quality data for real-time decision-making.

Delivered as a complete, field-ready kit, the BTR-Touch system includes a safe-area-link (SAL), antennas, cables, and software, all housed in a rugged, lightweight transport case designed for extreme environments (-40°C to 60°C).

Powered by a Linux-based operating system with advanced detection firmware, the system enhances decoding performance in harsh and noisy conditions—achieving data rates up to 2.0 bits per second, reducing missed decodes, minimizing troubleshooting downtime, and improving overall log quality with fast, accurate, and dependable signal processing.
