Surface Technologies Built to Keep Operations Connected

Bench Tree’s legacy receivers and display technologies are designed to provide dependable data visibility, reliable communication, and proven mud pulse detection performance across demanding drilling environments. Built for rugged field use, these systems support critical real-time information flow while helping drilling teams reduce complexity and maintain operational continuity.

From remote displays and advanced receivers to wireless yard cable replacement solutions, Bench Tree surface technologies improve flexibility and simplify rig-site communication. Expanded connectivity options, intelligent detection capabilities, and rugged hardware architectures help support more consistent data transmission and faster field deployment.

Designed for reliability in harsh operating environments, these solutions help reduce setup challenges, minimize communication interruptions, and provide directional drillers and MWD operators with access to the information needed to make confident real-time decisions.

Critical Data Visibility Where It Matters Most

Bench Tree’s RD-G Remote Display has become an industry standard for rugged, reliable presentation of directional drilling and MWD information. Designed for visibility in both direct sunlight and low-light conditions, the system provides real-time access to inclination, azimuth, gravity toolface, magnetic toolface, and four toolface history indicators. Adjustable LED brightness and compatibility across multiple MWD systems provide deployment flexibility for a wide range of drilling environments.

Wireless Detection with Proven Performance

The BTR-W receiver combines reliable mud pulse detection with built-in internet connectivity and wireless PC communication capabilities. Supporting multiple simultaneous local PC connections, the system enhances operational flexibility while reducing infrastructure requirements. Advanced detection firmware improves decoding performance in harsh and noisy environments and enables increased data rates through reliable decoding of shortened pulse widths. Compact sizing and integrated power protection have made the BTR-W a preferred receiver for MWD operators worldwide.

Expanded Capability. Familiar Interface.

The BTR-Cω receiver combines rugged hardware construction with Bench Tree’s industry-leading BTR utilities software suite. Maintaining a familiar panel layout and operational design, the platform expands functionality through Wi-Fi connectivity, advanced detection firmware, and compatibility with Bench Tree’s YCR communication system. Designed to improve operational flexibility without increasing complexity, the BTR-Cω supports dependable mud pulse detection across a wide range of drilling conditions.

Eliminate Cables. Simplify Operations.

Bench Tree’s Yard Cable Replacement (YCR) system removes the need to run communication cables from the rig floor to the safe area, reducing setup complexity and minimizing cable-related challenges. With transmission ranges up to 1,300 ft (400 m), the YCR system provides a direct communication interface between the BTR-W or BTR-Cω receiver, transducer, and RD-G display, helping improve site flexibility while streamlining surface operations.
